Nicolas Fleury is a strategist and an advisor, and one of the most recognized and respected experts in standardization worldwide. He is known for his open, realist and frank perspectives, grounded in rational, pragmatic analysis and approaches.
Nicolas is a former Secretary-General and CEO of ISO, the International Organization for Standardization, the world’s largest developer and publisher of international standards. Starting as handyman, his career made him lead, operationally and strategically, all of the organization's functions. This included the position of Secretary-General (Acting) and executive roles in management, governance, and strategy areas.
As such, he possesses an intimate knowledge of the internal workings of ISO and of the international standardization ecosystem system at large, and a strong sensitivity to the geopolitical and economic changes that are shaping the standards world.
Beyond standardization, Nicolas has an extensive experience in international relations and affairs, geopolitics, governance, strategy development and execution. He is a pioneer in innovative leadership and management methods, corporate wellbeing and high performance.
Nicolas is sharing his experience through his ventures Stractic Advisors, which helps organizations understand and capture the strategic value of standards, ReData Ltd, which is revolutionizing the standards industry through AI-driven insights and data analytics, and Nicolas Fleury Leadership International, which provides strategic and leadership advisory services. He is also publishing a newsletter, The Unstandardized.

What
Nicolas Fleury works with businesses, governments and organizations providing advice on the development and execution of strategies, as well as adopt leadership styles and management methods that really help them reaching their goals, generates results and sustainable high performance.
